The briefing will provide information on the application procedures, cost eligibility, documentation requirements, payment processing, and deadlines specific to the Hill Fire. All potential applicants for these events are encouraged to attend the Applicants’ Briefing.
The deadline to submit the RFMAS for the Hill Fire (FM-2955) is Monday, October 3, 2011.
The RFMAS must be completed to ensure that the 30-day regulatory deadline is met in accordance with Title 44 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 204.52. It is strongly recommended that these forms be submitted at the briefing.
In addition to the RFMAS form, a Fire Management Assistance Questionnaire must be completed and submitted with your RFMAS. The information that you provide in the questionnaire is needed to support the Cal EMA recommendation to FEMA to approve your application for fire management assistance funding.
If you have not been involved in a Public Assistance declaration in the past, please complete a Designation of Applicant's Agent Resolution (Cal EMA Form 130). In addition, the Project Assurances for Federal Assistance/Assurances (Cal EMA Form 89) is now required for each disaster.
These forms are essential to expedite federal funding and can be submitted at the briefing, emailed to Karen.Estampa@calema.ca.gov, or mailed directly to Mr. Michael Baldwin, State Public Assistance Officer, at the address below.
