The Policy and Strategic Initiatives Office is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and administration of Cal EMA’s strategic initiatives, emerging issues, and executive briefings. The office is responsible for advising the executive team on policies and programs related to public safety, emergency management, and homeland security. The office ensures the coordinated development of all policy matters before the agency and supports the executive team in the identification, development, and implementation of the agency’s policy objectives. The office is also responsible for articulating the long-term views of the agency and translating the Secretary’s strategic priorities into capstone planning products that drive integration, priorities, and resource allocation decisions.
