CalEMA Planning Branch
The CalEMA Planning Branch has responsibility for developing statewide planning guidance and reviewing state level emergency plans. The Branch is tasked with review and updating of the State Emergency Plan (SEP) and guidance and administration of the SEP Emergency Function Annexes. The unit also has oversight of Administrative Orders that outline each state agency’s role and responsibilities in support of the state emergency management system. The Branch also provides technical and programmatic support to implement Executive Orders that require a variety of planning disciplines such as the Continuity of Government and Continuity of Operations plans.
