The Critical Infrastructure Protection Division coordinates the Buffer Zone Protection Program (BZPP), which provides funding for equipment and protective measure to better protect, secure, and reduce the vulnerabilities of federally identified critical infrastructure and key resource sites.

Sector-Specific Plans provide the means by which the NIPP is implemented across all critical infrastructure and key resources (CIKR) sectors, as well as a national framework for each sector to address its unique characteristics and risk landscape.
