Emergency Management Grant Programs

Overview

The mission of the Emergency Management Grants Section (EMGS) is to provide funding to state and local jurisdictions to maintain and improve the emergency management system in the state and ensure this system coordinates emergency management from the local to the federal level of government.
The EMGS consists of dedicated emergency management professionals who are tasked with the effective grant administration and grant management oversight of the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Grant programs throughout the State of California.  In this capacity, the EMGS is responsible for assisting EMPG and EOC subgrantees to comply with all federal, state, and programmatic requirements associated with these respective grant programs, as well as to provide grant support to the subgrantees in their efforts to improve their emergency management and preparedness capabilities.
